Announcing two new partnerships

Breathing Space has formed two new partnerships to further cement close links with the veterans community.

Breathing Space National Coordinator, Tony McLaren said "We are delighted that Veterans First Point and Glasgow's Helping Heroes are now officially partnered with Breathing Space. It's so important to give ex-servicemen and women the support they need to help them return to civilian life. Through these new partnerships veterans can access both the emotional and practical support they require to make this often difficult transition".

Veterans F1rst point (V1P) is a 'one stop shop' for veterans and their families living in Lothian. Funded by the Scottish Government, NHS Lothian and the Ministry of Defence, V1P work in partnership with other organisations to resolve issues around housing, debts, physical health, employment, education, grants and benefits.

Glasgow's Helping Heroes is a Glasgow City Council initiative to raise awareness of financial, housing and employment issues faced by veterans and identify and address gaps in service provision. The aim is to provide one point of contact to improve local access for service personnel, veterans, their families and carers living in Glasgow.
