Movember 5K Family Fun

Raising awareness of men's health

Scotland's first ever 5K Mo running event is set to take place in Glasgow Green on 20th November at 10:30am. The event aims to raise awareness of men's health issues, in particular prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with more than 30,000 men diagnosed annually.

All Mo Running participants are encouraged to dress up and grow (or wear) a moustache. Tony McLaren Breathing Space National Coordinator explained "This should be a fun filled family event which can be a welcome distraction in the run up to what can be for many, a stressful Christmas countdown. Breathing Space is supporting this event as it not only raises awareness of Men's health issues such as prostate cancer but it encourages men and women alike to take some time out of their hectic lives and feel better for it".

To register for this event visit: http://glasgow.mo-running.com. Entry is priced at £15.00 – 10% of which goes directly to the Movember campaign.
