Glasgow Hosts first Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival
Breathing Space is sponsoring Gig at The Loft part of the first ever Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival. The gig featuring Billy Boyd & Bee cake, BMX Bandits and Cosmic DJs is just one of the many events taking place during the two week long festival which takes place from 4th – 19th October 2007.
A variety of events will be showcased at the Festival including exhibitions, debates, feature films, documentaries, community events, concerts, plays and workshops.
The Festival seeks to explore mental ill health and promote positive attitudes towards mental health, mental illness, support and recovery and aims to strengthen the links between arts, community and public organisations. It is led by a trio of organisations within the Glasgow Anti-Stigma Partnership: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, the Mental Health Foundation and the ‘see me’ campaign, and the events are made possible by the support of over 40 arts, public, community and voluntary organisations across Scotland.
